A business owner wants to replace the software used to track customers. She finds a firm promising to “support her digital transformation.” She still cannot tell whether the firm will help choose the software, install it or transfer the old records.
This fictional example shows the problem with a general service description. The reader knows the provider’s intention but not what the purchased service delivers.
Describe the work with precise verbs
A consulting offer could be written as follows. This example does not describe a TechnoConception commercial service:
We help Québec service businesses choose customer-management software. We review how they work, compare options and provide a recommendation with an implementation plan. The customer or their integrator installs the software and transfers the data. Discussions are available remotely in French and English.
The owner can now compare the offer with her needs. If she wants to delegate the installation, she knows another provider will be required. If she wants help choosing, she can examine the consulting service.
Verbs such as review, compare, configure and train make responsibilities visible. They give the description more substance than “support” or “transform” alone.
A real example from our founder mentoring
Our mentoring for nontechnical founders helps people make decisions about a product. A founder might want to choose what to test before adding features to a prototype.
In a product decision session, we review the supplied context and discuss the options. The founder receives a written summary of the decision, assumptions to check and next action. They then build with their tools or developer.
Mentoring provides advice. Coding, debugging, pair programming and building an initial version of the product are outside this offer. A detailed code review or technical audit needs a separate engagement; fixes are not automatically included. Enterprise engineering services also have their own scope.
These details help a founder decide whether the service fits before contacting us. They also make an error recognizable if an AI assistant describes the mentoring offer as delegated product development.
Answer the questions that affect the choice
After describing the work, add conditions prospects check before committing. These may include documents to prepare, people who need to participate, working languages or what happens after a session.
Put each condition near the relevant service. If the customer prepares the data, do not hide that responsibility on a distant page. It can change the time and effort they need to plan.
A service page does not need to explain every procedure in full. It can link to a guide when a process needs a longer explanation. The link should help the reader continue their decision, and the guide must remain consistent with what is sold.
Show something the reader can examine
For a consulting service, a comparison sheet with comments can show how recommendations are prepared. For training, a programme excerpt can explain what participants will learn.
Identify fictional examples and demonstrations. A document created to explain a method is not a result achieved for a customer. A real case should describe the context, the provider’s role and the observed result, with permission to publish the information concerned.
When comparing named software products, give versions, criteria and the verification date. The reader should understand why an option suits some situations and is less suitable for others.
Ask someone new to explain the offer back to you
Ask the reader to describe, in their own words, what they would receive after buying. Also ask what they would need to do themselves. Hesitation may reveal a responsibility that remains unclear.
Then compare the page with proposals, articles and the other language version. A smoother translation must not add installation to a consulting engagement.
AI can help locate ambiguous passages or prepare a draft. The person responsible for the service must confirm the facts. Google also asks publishers to check the accuracy of AI-generated content and warns against large-scale publishing that adds no value. Google’s documentation

How this feedback is handled
Responses expire after 90 days. They are not published or used as sales enquiries. A daily pseudonymous network identifier expires after 24 hours to limit abuse. Expired records are deleted by an hourly cleanup. The feedback database does not store your IP address; hosting security logs may still process it.
This browser stores only a receipt and your rating until the response expires, to reduce accidental duplicates. It does not store your comment or editing key. You can update a response during this page visit; after leaving, it becomes read-only in this browser.
